The anti-icebreaker

Less performative bonding. More people making something side by side.

A flower table gives everyone something to do with their hands and an easy reason to talk. Titles disappear at the stem bucket; no one has to perform, compete, or pretend to love an icebreaker.

Each arrangement becomes personal while the experience stays shared. Your team leaves with a finished piece and a keepsake vase. Your organizer leaves without the craft-project cleanup.

One table. A hundred small decisions.

How the room changes

A signature session runs about 90 minutes. We arrive early, build the flower bar, guide every stem, and clear the working materials when the last group photo is taken.

Guided, never graded Every arrangement is different
  1. 00:00

    The flower bar opens

Guests meet buckets of conditioned, seasonal stems in a palette chosen for your team, brand, or occasion. Vases, clippers, mechanics, and table protection are already in place.

  2. 00:10

    We demo the shape

Your Bloom Boom florist breaks the arrangement into approachable steps: the base, focal flowers, movement, and the wild edges that make the piece feel alive.

  3. 00:25

    The room gets creative

People choose, trade, trim, compare, and ask for help at their own pace. We circulate table to table so beginners finish with something they are proud to carry home.

  4. 01:20

The “look what we made” photo

Everyone leaves with their own arrangement, vase and all. We consolidate the stems, tools, and working materials so your team can move on to the next agenda item.

Why flowers work

A rare team activity with four wins

01 / Inclusive by design

No experience required

There is no athletic advantage, trivia gap, public-performance moment, or single “winner.” Every guest can make different choices and still finish beautifully.

02 / Naturally social

Conversation without the prompt card

The shared flower bar creates organic exchanges: “Which stem are you using?” is a much better opener than “tell us a fun fact.”

03 / Visually magnetic

The activity is the décor

A tiered wall of flowers transforms the room before the workshop begins and gives your team a genuinely photogenic moment throughout.

04 / Worth taking home

The party favor is the work

Every participant leaves with a fresh arrangement they made and a vase they can reuse — a visible memory that lasts beyond the calendar invite.

Choose your pace

Three ways to bloom

For the person planning it

The details your approval chain will ask for

You get one clear proposal built around headcount, venue, timing, vessel, and flower direction. We do not need a deposit just to check a date and prepare the scope.

What the venue needs

Tables and chairs for the group, access to water, a place for event trash, and a clear setup window before guests arrive.

Setup and strike

Plan on roughly 30–45 minutes before and after. We bring the flowers, vessels, clippers, mechanics, table protection, and instruction.

Headcount

The standard format works beautifully for 6–40+ guests. For a larger team, ask about a staggered or station-based plan.

Where we go

Your office, coworking space, hotel, restaurant, rooftop, backyard, or offsite venue across Greater Los Angeles.

How far ahead

Two to four weeks gives the best access to dates and custom flowers. Last-minute events may be possible with a rush fee.

What you receive

A personalized proposal with the format, flower direction, inclusions, event fees, and next steps in one place.

Planning questions

Before you send the calendar invite

Have a venue quirk or a headcount outside the usual range? We would rather solve it with you than make you guess.

Current Garden Party pricing starts at $50 per guest for an arrangement in a plastic vase. The instructor is $120 for up to two hours, delivery starts at $65, and the styled flower cart is a $300 rental. Glass or ceramic vessels, premium flowers, larger groups, and longer travel are quoted separately. Your proposal puts the complete event total in one place.

The standard Garden Party format is designed for 6–40+ guests. Share your real headcount even if it is larger; we can discuss staggered sessions, a station-based format, or a scaled plan based on the room and timing.

No. The session is built for first-timers. Your florist demonstrates each phase, then moves around the room to help people at their own pace. Everyone follows the same principles without having to make the same arrangement.

Yes. Send a mood board, invitation, brand palette, or hex code and we will build a seasonal flower direction around it. Branded ribbon, vessels, signage, or other materials can also be incorporated into the setup.

We need tables and chairs for the group, reasonable access to water, somewhere to place event trash, and 30–45 minutes of access before and after the workshop. We bring the flower bar, flowers, vases, clippers, mechanics, table protection, and instruction.

Tell us what your team needs in the inquiry. The activity is seated and can be paced for different levels of hand mobility. We can discuss lower-fragrance flower directions, but fresh flowers and greenery cannot be guaranteed allergen-free.
